Almost all our receivers will have sensory processing difficulties. It is difficult for them to process sound, while surrounded by lights, other noise, touch, colours, variations in temperature, and smells. When doing a WASHPAC session, as far as possible we try to exclude other sensory input, so that our receiver gets only 2 messages, that of touch and that of music. Please put up your Do Not Disturb sign, to help exclude interruptions, sudden breaks, or unwanted sounds. The principle idea behind any processing, is to choose what gets processed. We can choose this for our receivers by being intently focused on what we are offering by way of sensory input –and giving only one message: What they see is what they hear is what they feel. Then with repetition and practise, our receiver can predict what’s going on, when it happens, what it sounds like, and what it feels like. Come on a training and learn more!
