Communication through Touch and Music

Tacpac draws together touch and music to create a structured half hour of sensory communication between two people. Tacpac creates sensory alignment and helps people of any age who have sensory impairment, developmental delay, complex learning difficulties, tactile defensiveness, and limited or pre-verbal levels of communication.

Tacpac launches in the United States!

Tacpac is a very successful resource for parents and carers, teachers and Occupational Therapist in the UK, Australia and many parts of Europe and we are excited to announce we are now opening it out to the United States.

Co-Founder and Director

TACPAC was created for children with PMLD, SLD and various learning difficulties in response to the total lack of appropriate sensory resources.

We improvised music and made various textured objects available which matched the texture of the music and made these available to our pupils. The result was very exciting.

Our staff became enthusiastic, and asked us to make it into something more permanent, easy to use and transport, so they could do this too.

The whole process was great fun, and very rewarding to see how many children responded so positively to the music and the touch.

Today Tacpac reaches people of all ages and abilities, all over the World.

Thanks so much for letting us use Tacpac during lockdown. We both absolutely love the sessions.  It’s a great way to spend quality, meaningful time together. Even over just 3 months I have seen a massive improvement in my daughter’s anticipation, communication and emotional attachment. We will definitely carry on with Tacpac in the future – it’s one of the best parts of the day.

UK Parent

I have been working with children with special needs for the past seven years. I have been amazed at the transformation in children who have been exposed to Tacpac. As there are no trainers that I know of in the Perth area, I am interested in becoming a trainer to enable more children to reap the benefits of this wonderful program.
