Come and Meet Tacpac at the Raising the Bar PMLD Conference in Manchester

Tacpac will have a stand at the Raising the Bar PMLD conference, at the Manchester conference centre in Sackville Street on the 24^th November 2017. It will bring together people from all over the country who work or live with those who have PMLD – from teachers, to care workers and health professionals, to parents and family members – and Tacpac!

Sarah, who you’ve spoken to on the phone many times will be in the exhibition hall to demonstrate the various elements of Tacpac and answer all of your questions. The day promises to be an inspiring one, with a series of workshops and some very exciting speakers, including Professor Juliet Goldbart from Manchester Metropolitan University and Becky Loney from Lambeth and Southwark Mencap, founder of the Carousel Project. It was really informative. I would encourage parents and other professional to go through Tac Pac training. Found it really innovative. The activities were brilliant for being able to practise the movements to the music in a supportive environment. There was no part of the course that I didn’t enjoy and from which I didn’t learn. Although I have used TACPAC before, I hadn’t considered the importance of unknown music without any connotations attached to it for the receiver. This now makes perfect sense and was a revelation!
