This award was set up in memory of our friend, colleague and TACPAC trainer, Susie Fuller. It’s awarded to TACPAC users who have shown outstanding commitment to embedding TACPAC into their homes or workplaces, and who show the benefits of this work with the progress and development of their TACPAC partners, whether they are children, young people, older people or families.

Nominations open in January every year, with the winner announced in December.

Meet our 2023 winner: Donna Lever

Donna was first introduced to TACPAC during her time at Heltwate School and her words was ‘absolutely blown away with the difference it made to the children I was supporting’.

19 months ago, Donna moved from Heltwate school and joined the Autism Advisory Teacher Services in Peterborough. This gave her a good opportunity to model TACPAC in many different settings. Many schools were really interested in the programme, so it was decided with the support of Claire Nunn to put a training day on in Peterborough. The day was a success and many professionals have taken it on board and gone straight into delivering the programme.

Winning Ways

As always, the prize that goes with the Susie Fuller Award is tailored to the needs of the winners. TACPAC will work closely with Donna over the coming months to deliver what she needs and provide ongoing support.
